... and the whole world laughs at you
Why do we enjoy treating each other like shit? Is it because deep down in all of us, we're all just jealous of each other? And that's why we demean someone to the point where you don't feel pity or shame for that person? To desensitize yourself and not give a face or name to them so you could come up with whatever bullshit excuse coming out of your mouth and make yourself feel better. The powers of reasoning! Now that person is in the wrong and you're playing the victim to all your family and friends. You twist and turn your story, making up lies as you go on, until you truly believe that is the truth. And then you keep repeating that truth to yourself, adding on details that never existed, even DREAMING about it now, hoping you don't remember anymore that you were the awful human being treating people like shit. Why are we capable of doing that to a complete stranger and carry on our carefree living? To then make fun about it with your friends, to then sleep it off so peacefully, to then one day the same thing finally happens to you, and it's not that funny anymore now is it?
